Internal Communications

A dependable onboard telephone exchange forms the base for all voice communications. Home & Marine can provide both standard PABX or network based VOIP telephone systems. For both systems call management and least cost routing software can be provided.

DECT/Wi-Fi Handsets
Depending on what type of telephone exchange is installed. Either DECT or Wi-Fi wireless telephones can be provided for both owner/guests and crew. DECT would use its own set of antennas and Wi-Fi using the Wireless Access Points of the IT network. Enough of these would have to be installed to have seamless coverage throughout the vessel. For crew messaging can be provided from the Steward Call System and/or for alarms for the engineers.

Steward Call
A system can be provided to alert stewards to the location of owner or guests that requires some service. This can be displayed on touch panels in pantries and as messaging on a crew telephone handsets. Furthermore, this can be integrated to the Entertainment System to provide a Steward Call function on the entertainment touch panels and remote controls.
